a brooklyn, ny native, singer/songwriter dana athens is starting to get her feet wet gigging in and around new york. coupling experience with imagination; hopefulness with raw faith, dana's lyrics coupled with her unique and powerful voice band together to produce an original sound. influences and basic style formers include: the beatles, billy holiday, lisa loeb, alanis morisette, no doubt, fiona apple. Dana plays acoustic guitar and piano. Her first full-legnth album is currently in production. new songs will be added shortly. 'til then, enjoy some of the old shtuff!
