Rock / Acoustic / R&B
Damien started out at about age 11 in church. Discovering his love for music and ability to "change the atmosphere." Inspired and mentored by older cousin J.P. Powell, he grew to love writing and performing music. Along with R&B and Hip-Hop music he later developed a love for many other styles such as Rock, Gospel, Jazz, and Blues. Wanting badly to be original, he blended a little of all of this together forming a very unique style of his own. In 1996 at the age of 18 he moved to Hollywood, CA. Ill prepared, he ended up homeless for about a year and later moved back to North Carolina. Soon after arriving home, Damien formed with new best friend J.R. a new rock band called "Stellar Tree." After a couple of years of writing and playing they moved to Nashville, TN in 2001. The band split but Damien and J.R. countinued to pray, create, and dream. Found playing on the corner on 2nd Ave and Broadway by John Rich of "Big and Rich." They helped Damien stretch his ability and creativity even farther through a group called the "Muzik Mafia." Later, Damien and J.R. would team up with Beau and Rick to complete a sound, image, and performance that can't be described, only experienced. And because of his faith in Jesus, and the music he has been given, he has no doubt that his mission is not only to make music but to "Change the Atmosphere."

It grabs ahold of your audience and keeps them
listening...Oh thank you for writing...You are one of
the very few artists of this world that makes music
worth listening to. Thank you.
