Idaho's elite and most extreme blackened death metal band is continually spreading the plague in a faster and more brutal incarnation of the band you knew before.

The project began in 2003 and endured despite several lineup changes as well as changes in musical direction. A full length CD entitled "The Proliferation" was recorded over the spring of 2007 and released in June of 2007 under the name Sonic Devastation. Since then, the music has gradually become heavier and darker resulting in a brash move in early 2009 that felt like the right thing at the right time to the current lineup. It was elected to change the name of the band to Cvltvs Mortem in an effort to convey a better reflection of the music coming to light. More recent tracks as well as new pieces being written and arranged are a testament to the ever darker approach to our style now and into the future.

The current members draw inspiration from many genres, but the musical focus has primarily been a fusion of death, black, thrash, and traditional metal stylings. Many live apearances are now under our belt by either namesake we've gone by, including an appearance at Salt Lake City's Hard Rock Cafe, local headlining shows, and supporting slots for national touring bands Martriden and Psychostick. We have been playing to receptive audiences since the Summer of 2006 and thank all that have attended the shows in support!

2010 is slated to be a busy year with the release of our next effort...and perhaps some SHOWS! At this point, we offer no firm release date of the next slab; our goal is to make sure it is done right and the best possible package of material we have to offer to our fans; and ultimately ourselves.

THANKS TO ALL OF YOU WORLDWIDE FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
