PureVolume

This is the band Cutting Room Floor of Queens, NY. We're a band of many different musical tastes kind of meshed into one. We're not trying to pave a new road or start a revolution, that would be nice, but we try and play some honest music about love, life, and growing up.

Cutting Room Floor consists of Jill, Eric, and Tom. Jill is the lead vocalist and bass player. Just note that she actually can play all the instruments in the band, and could be her own band if she had enough apendages. She's one of the nicest people you will ever meet, and it's always fun to be around her. Eric is the lead guitarist and backup vocals. Eric's guitar's name is Naughty Nat, and he likes to name and personify inanimate objects. The things that come out of his mouth may scare you, terribly, and he's haunted with disturbing ideas and dreams. Tom is our 4th drummer. He is a monster on the drums with no prior teaching. He has a very very long full name.

Our songs are generally written by Jill and Eric. The style of the songs range quite a bit. Some can be like great sing-alongs about friends that are kind of slow, to more high energy songs like Punchlines, or heavy screamo stab your heart out type songs. Jill usually writes "positive life" songs. Eric can only write about emo things. In the end though, every member contributes, and tweaks their specific parts for the song to make it sound better than planned.
