CSPULL

Indie / Bluegrass / Experimental

We started in early 2004 as Leanne's solo project singing the tune "Butttt Loves Kara" (the song which evolved into CSPULL's first big hit, "Butttt Forgot to Write This Love Song"). The original line-up [Leanne, Butttt, Courtney and Kaelen] was born during the recording of the group's debut album, "Forgetfulness", for which the other members just so happened to be present for, and where, therefore, included in the project. This is also the album which features CSPULL's most famous song to date, "Jack White Forgot to Shave". The album was praised from critics all across the globe, and CSPULL was named "this generation's lengend" by Just For Teens magazine. Courtney was later dropped due to "creative differences" [ie-kaelen and leanne are bitches] so the line-up became just Leanne on vocals and guitar, Butttt on keyboard and Kaelen on bass; who set off on a 7 month long world tour tp promote their already 7 times platnium debut.

After the world tour finally wrapped up, CSPULL found themselves back in the studio with the hopes to record their follow-up album. Due to technical difficulties and a slew of terrible lyrics on Leanne's part, they cancelled the release of the album and titled it "The Lost Album", which was meant to be held and released on a later date as a special gift to the fans. Coinsidentially, the computer the album was recorded and stored on crashed during the next summer, and the album truely became lost forever.

Leanne, Kaelen, and Butttt became known as Sharpii Disaster, Skidzy Fierce, and Pirate Butttt for a period of time, and recorded the group's second album, "Cinnabuns on a Stick" (highlighted by the smash hit "You're Beige") under those eliases. The album's sound was a bit different than that of "Forfettfullness" do to an unfortunate event causing the tragic death of the acoustic guitar Leanne (elias Sharpii Disaster) had played on the first album. Instead, she used her electric guitar playing through a shitty ass 15 watt amp with the flange fired up. The album was released in early 2005 to mixed reviews. The nicknames were unofficially dropped after the release of this album.

By the summer of 2005, fans were already beginning to get anxious for new CSPULL material, so the band hit the studio to record what was meant to be their third album, "In Spanish". Though the album was in deed in English, the titles of the songs were random Spanish sentences such as "The taco is red". "In Spanish" was written as a concept album about buying shoes, falling in love with said shoes, ending up in prison because of the shoes' shininess blinding a man and causing him to walk into on-coming traffic, having the shoes taken away in prison, and then the main character ultimately killing him or herself because they can't live without the shoes (the lyrics to the last track were written as the character's suicide note proclaiming his or her love to the shoes). Unfortunatley, production of "In Spanish" ceased after just six songs were recorded, and the album was never released. Fans rioted outside CSPULL recording studios for 7 months, 5 weeks, 3 days, 13 hours, 48 minutes, and 57 seconds before they finally gave up and returned home to successfully hack the six recorded tracks from the CSPULL records computer system and enjoy them to all their incomplete potential; waiting anxiously to figure out what happened in the end of the story.

Meanwhile, CSPULL themselves had taken a hiatus from the band to travel to different parts of the world on separate spiritual journeys. Butttt travelled to Icarus, where he picked up a knack for the trombone. Kaelen made a trip to the ocean where she scuba dived for months on end, and met an accomplished bass player by the name of Katie. Leanne found herself high above the land in a hot air balloon, which is where she met renound box-beater-onner Nathan House. After a long six months to a year, the band reformed with an enriched line-up. Kaelen had brought back Katie as bass player, and Leanne had brought back Nathan as box-beater-onner. Do to the enlarged line-up, Butttt was able to make the change to trombone player, and Kaelen took over his keyboard duties, leaving Katie as the band's bass player. Leanne stuck with lead vocals and guitar, though the band is known to mix up the line up and switch instruments throughout studio sessions.

The new and improved CSPULL enter the studio towards the tail end of 2006 to record their most successful album to date: "TylerorKyle Amongst Other Mysteries of CSPULL Recording Sessions". Prior to the recording, the band held a contestin which fans could write and submit their own lyrics to the band, and the winner's song would be used on the album. The lucky Pheobe was crowned winner, and the band recorded her song "Fortunately it Was All a Dream" (which they retitled "Windows in My Socks") on the album. The album also featured a song about each band member's individual spiritual journey, an 8 minute insturmental featuring the music world's first ever Magic Bullet solo, and ode to modern music, a hip-hop piece, and a cover of Savage Garden's "I Want You". "TylerorKyle" was released on January 2, 2007, and quickly surpassed the Wii and Playstation 3 as the hottest and most highly demanded product in the market.

The band plans to enter the studio for the sixth time on March 24, 2007 to record yet even more new matieral for their 4th publically released album, and also work on their first ever DVD (including the recording of the album, the band's first ever music video, and more!). The band are also creating the world's first ever official CSPULL band t-shirt's; each member creating their very own custom design. Also, CSPULL hopes to work with many different guest musicians in the near future, and hopefully perform a duet with a willing musical collegue.

The future is here, and CSPULL is leading it. The Mochic band wagon has left the station and is travelling well above the speed limit on it's journey to the top. When are you going to jump on?
