Cryptic Entry on purevolume™

Started in early 2005 by former singer Mert and J.C. (guitar) Cryptic Entry isn't your typical metal band. The band gathers influences from death metal, power metal, black metal, and classic rock to fuse a heavy yet melodic sound leaning towards progressive metal. In it's early stages the band went through many names until finally settling on Cryptic Entry. JC came up with the name "cryptic entry" which was found in the lyrics of a Stone Sour song reading "Wish I'd died instead of lived; A zombie hides my face; Shell forgotten with its memories; Diaries left with cryptic entries." After numerous lineup changes of over 14 members now departed from the group and over a year of being together the band has finally settled on it's current lineup including JC on lead guitar, Shanon on rhythm guitar, Steve on drums, and both Vinny and Regina on bass guitar. Now that the band is soon to be a complete group once again and there is only need for a singer. Once they get a permanent vocalist they will begin group song writing, shows, and recording. Until then they'll continue on with practicing with only the four current members of the band.
