NEWS: NEW ALBUM COMING SOON!!!
CrossTown is recording their National Debut Release for Alethea Records!
David Van Kleeck, John Perry and Bob "The Trogg" Herder, aka Cross Town Band, released their first CD themselves in 2003. 12 tracks, 9 original songs and 3 Robin Trower cover songs that has sold a respectable number of units in the Southwest USA and over the Internet.
Now they are set to do it all over again - this time on a local indie label called Alethea Records.
Although the CD will contain a couple songs from their self-released CD of 2003, it will also contain newer songs written specifically for this album. New songs calls for NEW ARTWORK, and a NEW LINEUP of Musicians!
Through incredible circumstances, we are Blessed to be able to call upon the World Class talents of ex GAMMA frontman and Robin Trower lead singer since 1986 - Davey Pattison! Davey brings a wonderful new perspective to the sound and interpretation of CrossTown's songs. Considered one of the Top Ten Vocalists of our time, he is also an accomplished and gifted songwriter with two of his own solo Albums released independently; "MISSISSIPPI NIGHTS" and "PICTURES", both critically acclaimed and still available from his Website at; Davey Pattison Official Website
Davey brings with him a keyboard wizard named Mark Robertson, whom he has worked with many times over the years. Mark also lends his expertise Engineering the recordings done at his Goldfinger Studio in Northern California. Between the two of them, the Title Track to CrossTown's debut Album "POINT OF VIEW" has taken on a NEW SOUND and ENERGY!
As if that weren't enough, we have a new Executive Producer, who shall remain nameless until the Album is released so as not to skew the listener's ears through expectations. Suffice it to say that this man has taken CrossTown to a higher level and achieved the impossible by breathing VIBRANT LIFE into a project that had begun to stale! Just listen to the new POINT OF VIEW and you'll see what we mean!
Thanks for stoping by, we hope you like what you hear!
ENJOY!

With Davey Pattison and Mark Robertson in San Francisco recording Davey's vocals and Mark's keyboards, the pace is beginning to pick up FAST as we approach our deadlines!
Already, we have posted a "basic mix" version of the NEW title track, "POINT OF VIEW", with Davey's vocals and Mark's Hammond B3 making a new song out of the 3rd single from our self-released 2003 version!
Davey is also garnering Producer credits on ALL vocal tracks, and both he and Derek Sutton are the projects Executive Producers! The CD is still due come Fall of 2007. Davey Pattison, Derek Sutton and Dave Van Kleeck are also attempting a collaborative songwriting effort to finish the last of the new Original songs slated for this release.
Only 3 songs from our 2003 self-released POINT OF VIEW album have made it to the album. They are 3 of the 4 singles that received solid response to airplay and Internet play;
* POINT OF VIEW
* TO DIE FOR ME
* HELL TO LIVE
There are 9 more songs in the loop being finished and submitted for recording, and three of those will probably be cover songs by Robin Trower and/or Davey Pattison! So, if you have a favorite Trower, GAMMA or Pattison song you'd like to see make the album, drop us a line! If your song makes it on to the album, we'll send you an autographed copy of the new CD upon its release, along with some exciting EXTRAS that we're not going to mention here for fear of a rush of incoming emails!
Post your thoughts, and we'll keep you posted on the progress AND the song list created by your responses!
Stay well and enjoy every single day to the fullest!

Though voted into the SEMI-FINALS and scheduled to perform June 8, 2006 at The Clubhouse Music Venue in Tempe, AZ, we have decided it is in everyone's best interests for us to withdraw from the "Festival". Though there are numerous reasons for this decision, we do not care to dwell on the past. Suffice it to say that the band and all the fans that showed up were expecting something other than what we all experienced April 7, 2006. Now, after speaking with the Staff and Admin in charge, we have found there is nothing we can do to make the conditions better for the audience or the band and our Mission.
Thanks to everyone who DID support us by going to the show on April 7th. We have some special offers for you at our main Website at www.crosstown-band.com. Please stop by there and check 'em out!
Peace Always and All Ways in Him,

ABSOLUTELY! Nickelback and Train are 2 of the best examples of this, and Aerosmith, Def Leppard and The Rolling Stones show the longevity of the bands who set the pace and continued to stay true to this genre!
