Craigs Brother

Ted Bond (Vocals/Guitar), Heath Konkel (Drums/Vocals), Scott Hrapoff (Bass), Glade Wilson (Guitar/Vocals)

Breathing fire along Americas West Coast, Craigs Brother delivers a sound unlike any other. In 1998, thousands of punk rock fans were swept off their feet when the band released and toured behind their first full-length album, Homecoming (Tooth & Nail Records). The release showcased innovative guitar medleys, awesome vocal harmonies and intelligent lyrics, which brought Craigs Brother to the forefront of intellectual punk rock. Those who heard Homecoming became instant fans of this foreign energy and spread the word, resulting in a dedicated, worldwide fan base.

The anticipated second release from Craigs Brother, Lost at Sea, came three years later, also on Tooth & Nail. It wasn't until the early stages of composing music for Lost at Sea that the band believed they had truly exceeded themselves. This masterpiece manifested The Brother as one of the greatest punk bands out there; they had developed a brand new sound within themselves, which enabled them to expose more emotion than ever before. Ted Bond's vocal designs, coupled with an odd orchestral arrangement and choir break, left the album nothing short of being audible artwork, with songs that take you to another place...even lost at sea.

The Brothers new sound has since splintered far from their hometown of Santa Cruz, California, and still inspires countless musicians. Though a brief hiatus sparked rumors of a break-up in 2004, the band came back from the dead to continue their influence upon the world of punk. Whether it be touring alongside the likes of former band mate Ryan Key and Yellowcard, or gaining the respect of bands like Unwritten Law, Craigs Brother have shown their ability to roll like they mean it. Even the bands latest release, E.P.IDEMIC (Takeover Records), proves to be yet another challenging composition that threatens to redefine punk rock.

With a decade in their wake, Craigs Brother have grown together and revealed a sound unique to their punk rock ancestors. The band has long been recognized as one of the primary innovators of the indie punk sound, and this year begins an exciting new era in their history. While enduring a line-up change that may surely charge the overall force we have come to know as The Brother, the band is once again resetting the standards for quality in punk rock, further mastering an unidentifiable energy.
