crab smasher formed in 2002. they play a shaky mixture of improvised noise soundscapes and electro pop. they forever struggle to find a balance between artistic integrity and mainstream celebrity.

"One could call it harsh noise, although this sounds easier because the songs have electronics, bleeps and random-sounding notes as well as repeating patterns and white noise and mindless shouting. It's absolutely lovely if you're into avant-garde electronics and noise like me (and I wouldn't really call idm avant-garde, this is not that easy music). Which a random reader probably isn't. The music reminds me a bit of some bands that are labelled "arctic hysteria", which is interesting since Crab Smasher comes from Australia."
