Coyoba can mean a lot of things: in the language of the Arawak indian tribe it means "heavenly" and in Jamaica there are a number of beach resorts bearing this name.
Coyobas music reflects this diversity. The different listening habits of its members are blended into one unique style: starting with 80s indie rock via BritPop of the 90s up to modern alternative rock and last but not least metal. Put simply, its rock music.
The five-piece was founded in 2002 and has ever since emerged as a live act that played shows in a number of places all over their home-country Austria. They also wona local band contest and participated in several others with quite remarkable results.
In 2005 the band recorded and released their debut album Discoyoba which is available through major retail outlets in Austria and Germany (including amazon.de) as well as the iTunes Music Store (EU, UK, US) and Rhapsody.
