Argentinean punk foursome Contragolpe was formed in 1996. Singer/guitarist Nicolas Gaspoz, bassist Ivan Gedzius, and drummer Emiliano Gaspoz recorded Mi Nacion, a six-track demo, in January of 1996. Contragolpe later participated in a compilation called Sociedad Under with "Otra Noche Como Hoy" and "Mis Paginas Anteriores." In March of 1999, Contragolpe's LP Parte De Un Destino was released. That same year, guitarist Marcelo Garcia joined in. In 2002, the band released "De Pie En La Tormenta".
"8 anios y 27 minutos" is the name of the last album, edited in 2005.
Emi left the troup in 2007, and Pablo Prosello replace him.
