In the end of summer 2004 the two neighbours Willy Hetland and Thomas Dretvik
tightened the screws and powered up the amp in Thomas's basement.
To see how far they could go before his parents went crazy from all the noise.
(It didn't take that long).

After a couple of weeks Johnnny Tjelta, a friend of Thomas, also wanted to play.
He liked the same music, lived a couple of blocks away and brought some great material.

"When Johnny came along, we wanted to make it a band!" Thomas said.

In the same basement, for a month or two, the three of them hung out.
Influenced by The Ataris, Offspring, Sum 41 etc. a punk/rock- kind of style defined them.

Playing without a bass and Vocals, never really seemed to bug them.
Although it was on their mind. Willy worked in a Post-Office when he found
the 4. member. Kristian Brox, a new co-worker who lived in Stavanger.

One day I just walked over to him and asked; "Please say that you can play bass and sing?"
"I'd never talked to the guy, just popped the queston, rehearsed 1 time, then he never left!".
- Willy

After the 4. member, Conductive began to shape as a band. They were forced to move out of the
basement because Thomas's parents got angry. A new basement was found at Johnny's house.
They have been there ever since.

"What's the point of moving to a Jam-Place and pay for it, when we can practise here for free?"
- Kristian

Money and contacts has always been a big deal for Conductive. Lousy amps, no place to do a gig
and the recording the first demo "Perfect Life". Screwing around, having a great time and
doing what they like best, is what Conductive really is. A band where everyone is equal,
the fans, the members, their friends. Making them become the band, and influence
them in different ways.
