Common Crush is a Acoustic/Indie duet based out of Grand Rapids Michigan. It started as a solo acoustic project in July of 2007 when I, Kyle, started writing and recording my own music. I quickly became fairly well known locally in my home town of Midland and by the end of summer, less than two months, I was playing shows most weekends and was recording at InRepair Studios with Chris Abalos of Monument Monument. When I went off to college at Grand Valley State, I got together with my long-time friend Mike Miller and we started playing shows and writing more songs. We also started to expand into electric songs with "This Time Around" and "Every Word I Say".
