Clueless is a powerful rock band influenced by bands such as Green Day, Foo Fighters, The Smashing Pumpkins, The Get Up Kids and Third Eye Blind. Even though all members have a slightly different background (with a drummer from Germany and a half Spanish, half Dutch bassist) the band was founded in the eastern part of the Netherlands. Their combination of powerpop mixed with punk, rock & metal guarantees this band will make everyone feel at home and go wild at their shows. In the past, Clueless has played in pretty much every venue in Holland and did a lot of shows in Germany with bands like Panic! At The Disco, Intwine, I against I, Travoltas, Racoon, Di-rect, One In A Million, Woost, Face Tomorrow, NRA, Gem and many other well known bands. They recently released their self titled debut record on the upcoming indie label Moondown Records, also home of I Against I, and it was produced by Dutch punk rock legend Perry Leenhouts (Lead singer of the Travoltas and producer of many other punk rock acts such as the Riplets, the Apers and Goldenboy). A few months ago the record was also released in Japan, a special edition -Japan only- with two bonus tracks and new artwork, and sold five hundred copies in the first week. Not a bad start for a band that call themselves Clueless, ey? Besides good music, the band is also known for their DIY work ethics. Merchandise & art design are just a few of the things this band considers as the core activities of keeping up with the international music industry. A few years after the band was started, they won a big radio contest that provided them lots of national and regional airplay on well known radio stations. Right now plans are slowly being made of going to tour in Japan, Holland, Germany and eventually the rest of the world.
