Meet Dan Reder, John James, Josh Wells, Nick Stiens & Travis Hartman collectively known as Close To Home. Cincinnati, Ohio based â€œClose To Homeâ€ has come from humble beginnings to become one of the most recognized independent rock bands in the Country. Close To Homeâ€™s official website (www.CTHRock.com) has enjoyed nearly 11 Million unique profile views in 2008 thus far, and is in the process of switching to a new server due to such high volume. They have played sold-out shows with 30 Seconds To Mars, Saosin, Made Avail, The Used, Silverstein, Mayday Parade, Papa Roach & many more.

Close To Home first attracted National attention in 2005 when Erwin Musper took notice of the band, offering to mix and master their debut album Picture Perfect. Musper has been featured on nearly 100 Million albums by artists such as Def Leppard, Chicago, Bon Jovi, Mick Jagger and Elton John. Picture Perfect sold out in the first two weeks and is currently in its 6th pressing.

While on their first National Tour, in March 2006, bassist Bradly Andress came down with what was thought to be a bad cold. During a tour stop in Seattle, Washington, Brad stopped into an Emergency Room to get checked out and it was discovered that he had a huge tumor on his left lung. The rest of the band immediately gathered any cash they had left from the tour to fly Brad home and made the drive cross country to be with him. The rest of the tour was canceled. Brad tragically lost his battle with cancer on October 6th, 2006. He was only 20 years old. In December 2006, a tribute-album entitled Legends Live On was released to honor the bands fallen friend with the promise to never let his dream die. Bradâ€™s always said â€œThereâ€™s Nowhere To Go But Up, From Here.â€ Close To Home lives by that motto everyday.

In October 2007, Close To Home teamed up with Hard Rock CafÃ©, Sexy Hair Concepts & Retroduck.com Clothing to help promote cancer awareness, and raise money for eradication. â€œRocktoberâ€ is an international, month-long event, hosted by Hard Rock CafÃ© and has featured some of the biggest artists in the entertainment world. Tour stops included Detroit, Louisville, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Indianapolis and more. More than $1,250,000 has been raised during these events to date. Close To Home has been featured the past three years on â€œVan's Warped Tourâ€ and played the 2007 â€œTaste of Chaosâ€ tour in front of over 10,000 people.

Close To Home has teamed up with the world-famous NADA studios in New York for their new record. The album "Standby" was produced by Close To Home, John Naclerio & Zachary Jaydon in December 2007 with an international release set for April 29th, 2008. Naclerioâ€™s credits include My Chemical Romance, Brand New, The Ataris, Just Surrender, Matchbook Romance & Senses Fail. Jaydon's credits include Justin Timberlake, Ryan Cabrera & Craig David.

Updates!

We are on the front page of purevolume in their top 10 picks! Thanks alot it is a huge honor :)

We are currently sitting in the van heading home from Warped Tour in FL. IT was a great time and we met alot of great people.

We will be hitting the studio and then the road again shortly. With shows here and there in between.

Brad is recovering!Amazingly, blowing every DR's opinion away and make a fast recovery. He should be joining us on the stage again soon. Thanks everyone for the support, prayers, thoughts, money, anything you have done.

We have been getting some radio play down in Tampa, FL and they did a big benefit for Brad too. Thank you for that!

Keep helpinmg him pay those medical bills and we will be in touch with more news soon!

Updates

Hey everyone!
Just Wanted to take time to update everyone on what is going on with Close To Home.
Brad has had his surgery and they removed his lung and a volleyball size tumor. He is recovering from the surgery and his broken ribs but eager to get back on tour. Thanks a ton to all of you for your prayers and donations to Brad's medical bills. We will be putting on a fund raiser show for Brad in Cincinnati April 22nd at 8pm at the Underground in Forest Park. The UG will be donating the door money to Brad. So please come and bring your friends! Other bands will be announced shortly. We have been confirmed for Warped Tour dates in Florida this year 6/24 Miami Florida Bicentennial Park, and 6/25 Orlando, FL Tinker Field. Immediately after that we begin the Grassroots tour with Showoff, Afterdrama and I Voted for Kodos. For dates please see www.myspace.com/grassrootstour. Special thanks also to Absolute Punk for putting Brad on their front page. Also, Special thanks To Kevin Lyman who has agreed to donate a guitar for a raffle. Tour Tour Tour

What's up people!? Sorry for the lack of updates! We are leaving this Sunday to kick off the New Panic Tour (see Tour Dates). Can't wait to see all of you!

Cd's are selling VERY fast so get yours now! The CD was mixed and mastered by the legendary Erwin Musper (www.studiobambooroom.com). He has worked with Metalica, Def Lepard, Bon Jovi and all sorts of great rock groups.

In other news, Close To Home is proud to be working with Rockstar Energy Drink. Rockstar has given us a ton of drinks to get us through this tour as well as a million things to give out at our shows.
