In the fall of 2004 two well known local bands in Austin, TX both split up. The two bands, Pistol Grip Pump and Shinuk, joined forces and formed ClosedHandPromise from the ashes of the two bands.Combining elements from both bands, the musicians created something totally new to renew their assault on the music scene.
ClosedHandPromise has quickly secured a spot as one of Austin's top heavy draws thanks to their unique sound and relentless live shows. The band has very quickly established itself as a new force to be reckoned with on the scene and has already had significant radio exposure as well as being featured on compilations with nationally touring acts.
