Clapham Omnibus is an artist, and a philistine. He is intelligent, and a fool. He is loved, and he is despised. He is cool, and he is a loser. He is a leader, and he is a follower. He is a warmonger, and he is a hippy. An obese old man, and a starving young child. He is a Christian, a Muslim, a Jew, a Buddhist, a Hindu, and an Atheist. He is George Bush, and he is John Kerry, and he is Saddam Hussein. He is a fireman in New York and he is Osama Bin Laden. He is determined, and he is confused. He is you, and he is me.

The music here was inspired by life, by death, by humanity, by inhumanity, by love, by hate, by forgiveness, by bitterness, by the "Other" which is often referred to as God (or Jehova, or Allah, or one of his many other names), by existence without the Other, by beauty, and by those times when beauty is the last thing we see. This world is so beautiful... and yet, at times, a complete shit hole.

Sometimes the music just comes to me, and in such instances, the music speaks to me the same way it speaks to you. Other times, the music is developed through sweat, blood, and tears. And in the process, in the journey, in the wandering of the search for art and beauty, something that wasn't now is. In the same way creation myths and legends start with chaos that is shaped in to what is existence, music comes from the chaos of ideas, notes, sounds, and words to become existence. I am not so proud a man to claim such creation as my own, for we all contribute. I alone am not Clapham. We are Clapham.
