Members: Aaron | Shawny | Chris | Adam
Chaselounge formed in the fall of 2002 under the guide of the band's frontman, Shawny Scott. The rest of the band includes Adam Eilers on drums, Aaron Scott on bass, and Chris Lambert on guitar. Together, the group creates a wonderful brand of intelligent, seismic pop-rock with the influence of 50's style charisma from artists like Buddy Holly, Nada Surf, The Beatles, Rooney, and Weezer. The band adopted the term "doo-rock" (a play on the common 50s style of "doo-wop") to describe its main style.
After signing on with YesYeah Productions, the band toured the Midwest heavily while working on their first record. In the summer of 2004, Chaselounge released their long awaited debut album Mayday, Roger the Radio. The album was the 9th most added album to the CMJ National charts when it went into rotation in early February 2005. Mayday sat in the CMJ Top 200 charts for several weeks and continues to spin on college radio stations across the country. Comprised of hook filled, melodic and powerful rock songs, Mayday helped develop a strong following for Chaselounge in the Midwest and beyond.
In October of 2005, the band released its second album, Black Plastic Ordinary on YeaYeaYeah Records. Produced by Erwin Musper (David Bowie, Jeff Beck, Van Halen), BPO is the band's finest work yet. The original Limited Edition album was released as a DVD/CD package including 5.1 DTS surround sound mix, video and other features. You can order BPO online HERE.
Chaselounge has been touring the Midwest region extensively over the past two years; from Nashville to Chicago. The band is currenty expanding their touring area. Learn more about the band at the CHASELOUNGE HEADQUARTERS.
