Second Nature

Second Nature is a Great original band from Chantilly, VA. Second Nature has been together since October 2005. They have a very refreshing sound, and an incredible stage presence, When they first started playing together they came into it for the music and nothing more. Every since day one its been a group effort to achieve a common goal, the goal to be the best. Every time they step on to a stage they are reminded of that and strive to put on the best performance they can.

Second Nature consists of four members, John Holton (bass) Angelo Soares (guitar), Josh Cockrell (drums), and Jordan Waddell (vocals). John has a very unique style and has a very broad range of influences. Some of which would be, Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers, Underoath, The Used and the band Fall of Troy. Then there is Angelo Soares (guitar). Angelo has been in many different bands and has a lot of experience; he also has a very unique style when it comes to playing and writing music. Some of his influences are, Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai, Led Zeppelin, Fall of Troy, and B.B. King. Then there is Josh Cockrell who been drumming for most of his life, and is a captain in the Chantilly High School Drum line. Some of his influences are John Bonham, Buddy Rich, Bill Bachman, and Joe Joe Mayor. Our final member is Jordan Waddell (vocals) Jordan has had a passion for singing for a very long time and lets everyone know it as soon as he steps on stage. Some of his influence are; Brandon Boyd of Incubus, David Grohl of The Foo Fighters, Rivers Cuomo of Weezer, Anthony Kiedis, and Paul McCartney. This four piece is a very cultured band and lets it be known through their music.

All the members of Second Nature are seniors at Chantilly High School. But dont be fooled by thinking that theyre young age may define what they bring to the table in terms of talent, because what they may not have in age they make up in musicianship. They really strive to take their art to the next level. All four members have a great passion that can not be defined in words, and with this great passion comes even greater determination to succed. Second Nature definitely has something to say and wants it to be known. They are also a great act to be seen and should not be missed.
