Cate Evens is an artist who knows what she wants. You can get a pretty good impression of that on her fourthcoming solo-ep angel on th edge. The singer, originally from Brilon, wrote the songs for the four-tracker in cooperation with her guitar-player Torsten Woerdemann (ex- Northern Tales); a throughout promising combination!
Special attention should be paid to the up-tempo-songs sweeping the scene and still on this side to which you inevitably have to bang your head or move your feet and whose melodies will stay in your auditory canals for quite a while!!
The today 24-year-old started her musical career in 1999 when she came to Hamburg to study at the renowned Stage School of Music, Dance and Drama. Three years later she finished Stage School as a professional musical-performer, had some minor engagements in musicals before finally finding her passion for rockmusic. This passion lead her to the rockband tryant. With tryant Cate released the album Best Before and played nation-wide concerts.
But now the power woman is fully concentrating on her solo-career and focused on storming not only the german stages with her band.
The german audience could already convince itself of Cates live quality in March 07 when she was the musical guest at the morning-show fruehcaf on Hamburg1 where she gave an impressive unplugged-performance of her ballad pardon me (hidden track on angel on the edge).
But its not only Cates compelling voice thats worth coming to a show. Its also because the quartet knows how to attract your attention optically....

We have just come back from Heerlen/NL where we played two very nice unplugged-shows. On Monday we were supported by the "Great" Gordon Smith who has already toured and played with none other than Phil Collins and who impressed us a lot with his performance. We´ve some pictures up from the road!! Check out the gallery-section.

Weve already been really busy in 2008. Beside writing new material for our first longplayer we are on the road most of the time and have just come back from Dannenberg, where we played two nice acoustic gigs.
Some more news: From April on we are going to tour some german shopping-malls!!!! And we are really exited about that. Some arent confirmed yet, but we are proud to announce the first gig: On April, 13th we will perform at the "Happy-Family-Day" in "Kaufpark Htger"/Wirges .

Hey,
its been eventful eight weeks since the release of "Angel on the Edge". We actually went on a one- week- unplugged- tour through Germany which has been really nice (lots to drink, little to wash or shower and no sleep) with great and energetic audiences!! Thank you again all!!
Before we go on "christmas"-holidays we will give another unplugged- session for German TV on Dec.15th.

It finally happened: Cates first solo-EP "Angel on the Edge" is out now and you can download it at all the download portals worldwide (iTunes,musicload,mtv.shop,etc....)The EP contains five songs including the live unplugged perfomance of "pardon me".

Last week Cate was the musical guest at the show "Fruehcafe" on Hamburg 1.
There she gave an Unplugged-Performance of her single "Pardon Me" which will be released in May !!
