December 27
Hour of need:
Energetic, slightly agressive, rock song about clinging fiercely to God in times of trouble.
Nothing Without You:
Folky acoustic guitar-driven song about giving every aspect of your life to God, being humble enough to admit that He can do a much better job of things than you can. Look out for the guitar solo. I haven't actually learned it yet, so that should be entertaining!
Among the Ruins:
I guess you could call it soul, or at least something very close to urban. It's based on Psalm 102 and I wrote it when some close friends of mine were going through rough times. Watch out for the rediculous key change!
Also, I have some older songs that I'm thinking of re-recording:
One Day:
Veeery old. I've recorded it before, but I think it needs some serious revamping. Now I have a slightly better idea of production generally, you should be in for a nice sonic treat.
Fragments:
Something a little more dramatic. I'll be making use of some synth strings, as well as natural instruments. Again, there shall be a key change, but a change to one I can sing in this time!
Don't Look Down:
I'm not sure if I'll ressurect this one. I listened to it on my SoundClick site the other day and thought, "Actually, that's quite a solid chord progression I had going there..." It might end up being a rock anthem yet. (hah!)
