Carey Murdock picked up the guitar for the first time at age 15 and ever since has been consumed by music. 'It ambushed me', he says. 'It captured me and has never let me go.' Believing that good songs were at the heart of good music, he started writing and performing his original songs and in 2005 his song 'Sometimes' began to get radio play in his hometown after winning a songwriting contest. Since then he has performed his songs with various musicians to growing audiences. Based presently out of Augusta, GA he plays with his current band throughout the Southeast.

Critics and fans alike describe Carey Murdock's songs as being in a niche between the music of Soundgarden and Jeff Buckley. If you listen closely you can also hear some Van Morrison, some Led Zeppelin, and a little Ryan Adams. What can resolutely be said about Carey Murdock's music is that it is, in its most simple explanation, rock and roll. And the live experience of seeing Carey Murdock is a rock and roll show... three greatly talented musicians on a stage giving their all... a guitar, a bass, drums, and a voice... singing of life, love, loss, and all that rock 'n roll is meant to be about.
