:::THE WELL WRITTEN INFORMATIVE BIO:::
During the past year of this bands existence we have constantly been asked the meaning behind our name; Carbonaut. The truth is, the creator of the word, our lead singer/lyricist Chad, has penned a very acute and overarching definition which can be found on the website. However, after traveling as much as we have and meeting just as many interesting people it seems the name, along with the band, has changed.
No longer are we a five-piece. Our friend and co-founder Noah Zinter has since hung up his Sharpie markers and six strings for the seminary and is sorely missed. As well, our good friend Scott Solemena has moved on as well leaving the band as it began but somehow anew as a four-piece. The four that began this journey have found themselves back at the beginning. Yet they are somehow changed, with an ostensible lifetime of experiences behind them and a wealth of new songs within them.
Thus, the name Carbonaut has not really strayed from its root of carbon. It inhabits every living, thinking organism and much like the cosmonaut travels to lands formally unknown, returning wholly changed. In essence we are all Carbonauts and the music is simply the soundtrack to each and every individual journey. We will continue to craft the music as long as you all are willing to take the journey; this is Carbonaut. Welcome, again, and yet again.

What can i expect from a carbonaut show?
Chad, "...It's like a bar fight set to a waltz"
we're a four piece, formally a five-piece... took a year to figure out what we are doing and now we're back... we drink wild turkey... we've smashed guitars, cymbals, amps, drums... we generally rock... our favorite bands include , but are not limited to, the mars volta, tool, circa survive, the refused...
period the end... now come out to a show!
