CAPITAL formed in 2005 when guitarist Giacomo and bassist Alex met in NYC. They shared a love for rock & roll, punk ideals and a desire to take over the world of rock music. They started playing out in 2005 with drummer/friend rich dicicco. In 2006 They recorded their debut self titled CD. Shortly after its release Rich had to leave the band. Giacomo and Alex remained great friends but wavered as a band, unsure if they should continue in New York. They weighed their options while searching for a new drummer, unsure if they would be able to continue. One day they got a call from a young drummer with a scraggly beard and a NoFX hat. His name was Aaron and he was perfect. Aaron, also influenced by rock and, particularly, west coast punk added a new element to the band. Aarons style and precision led the band more clearly towards a punk style while allowing them to maintain a solid rock sound. After a few months with the new line up they decided to go into the studio. They laid down five new tracks in just under twelve hours. These new songs make up their newest release the Moment of Silence E.P. CAPITAL is, in essence, a great rock band, but their sound and their stage presence reflect the underground music that has influenced them. the 5 song Moment of Silence E.P. is set to be released in late spring 2007, with extensive touring to follow.
