firstly formed on october 2003 by Ana Rezende - guitar - Cansei de Ser Sexy (Tired of being Sexy in english) started like a hobby between friends, nothing really serious. The name of the band come up from a citation of Beyonce Knowles (leader of Destinys child, R&B group). from the original formation only Adriano, also the only male, was really able to do something.. uh.. right and make it sound like something.
since then, the band has just increased in each performance.

at the end of the year wich the band was formed, CSS, as it is called by the fans, put on the "Trama Virtual" website (from Trama records that allows new and independent bands to put musics capable to be downloaded by everyone) the demo of "Odio, Odio, Odio, Sorry C." right after, "Meeting Paris Hilton". both stayed for weeks on the top10 parade. but hey, it was just the beginning.

music criticals, nationals and even internacionals, started on having a lot of interest for the band. In the past august, a note from Peter Culshaw in the british newspaper The Observer pointed CSS as one of the greatest bands that had appeared in south america.

at each concert, CSS started on gain lots of fans, that at the end of the show, kicked back home to download songs wroten by Lovefoxxx (vocals). about if its gonna keep on happenning, even with the release of their debut album, the guitarrist Ana Rezende is kinda categoric: "it would be hypocrisy from us to not allow it anymore."

the peak (up to now) of the band happened when CSS was invited to play at tim festival in november 2004, beside huge music performers such as PJ harvey, soulwax and the pet shop oys. since then, CSS wasnt only a joke or hobby anymore.. things were getting real and CSS started on gain respect from critics, music listeners, fans.


and guess what? their record has JUST released.
