C.AJones was formed in late 1997 by bassist, Jeremy"Dinero" Smith, keyboardist, Justin"Sweet Daddy" Pires and drummer (also brother to Jeremy), Zak"Fooey" Smith. The main goal was to form a fun, party-going funk band with a bit of a twist. Jeremy and Zak then recruited former ska band members, Fausto (trumpet) and Eddie"Eggy" (trombone) Ruiz and Tim Nunnink (saxophone) to fill the horn section. C.A.Jones then brought in front man, Tobin"the Duke" Williams, guitarist, "Crazy Dave" Oate and percussionist, Mark"RatLow" Radelow to add to the creativity of the project. Due to "creative differences" in 1998, "Crazy" Dave left the band and was later replaced by one Scott "Skiz" Davis. What do you ask is missing? A female vocalist, of course. In late 1998, C.A.Jones asked singer, Kelly Morris to step in and add some female funk to the pot.
C.A.Jones played their funk/hip-hop/jazz/disco at San Diego beach clubs and house parties for about two years before recording this album in 2000. The album was recorded at the world famous StudioWest in San Diego, CA, engineered and mixed by David Chenoweth. Why was the album never released, you ask? Well, not too long after "9 Ways To $unday" was recorded, the band ended it's crusade of funk and all ten members went their separate ways. The album sat on the shelf for SIX YEARS!
Until now...

We hope you enjoy these tunes as much as we did - and still do.

UPDATE: C.A.Jones is now available for download on iTunes! A mere $.99 a song!
