Members: Brandon, Nick, Craig, J.R., Martin, Levi
As the late summer torridness came crashing to a cease. A youthful band rose from its ashes. In late August of 2005, six of Southeast Iowa's most prime musicians combined and fabricated what is known as "Burning Alive". Full of untouched and haunting guitar riffs, this band soon rose to the pinnacle of the Midwest Metal Scene. The inferno started with veteran guitarist Nick Bielser who foresaw eminence potential in young and developing rhythm guitarist Craig Snipes. Craig and Nick were formerly band mates along with potent drummer, Martin Bence. After unfathomable searching the trio came to the conclusion of holding auditions for a vocalist with the aptitude to fulfill there needs. Unique vocalist Brandon Sullivan answered the call by impressing the faction with his fiendish low growls and sharp high screams. The crude faction was now pursuing a bass player. Emencly talented bassist Justin Walker instantly came to the aid of the band. What was once an unsteady and dormant group of devoted friends swiftly became a Midwest heavy metal juggernaut.
The band got off to a rapid start by playing many locals shows. And developing a devote following in the Burlington and Quad City area. After playing several shows the band was unsatisfied with their overall sound. They felt as if they were missing something, Burlington keyboardist Levi Patton was exactly what they were lacking. Levi had been traveling with the band since day one and had been friends with Nick for years. Now with a stacked line-up the powerhouse kicked down the doorway that drove them deeper into the Midwest scene. By playing shows in Iowa, Indianna, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, Minnisota, and Kentucky the band got the reputation of being "the kids who tore it up". After the band prepared a solid set list they settled down and headed into K.F. Studios to record there first E.P. titled "Where To Lay Your Ashes". The E.P. showed the immeasurable talent of the band. A combination of soft melodic riffl, death-defying leads, and guidance from easier flowing classical rock made the band irresistible to all who hear them play. As the band reaches the end of one chapter they look to open another by broadening their fan base to the national level and becoming heavier and more powerful.
