Raw with emotion, Burdenrest puts his heart into every song's lyrics and music. His unique sound has been called artistic, poetic, and completely original. The music is founded on acoustic guitar and voice. Inspired by the alternative tunings, Burdenrest achieves a very rich, full sound on the guitar. Some have even claimed it sounded "like a 12-string!" His wide singing range carries the melody perfectly through the song. On his first album, "The Epiphany,"
he also recorded the accompaning instruments.

Salvation in Jesus Christ is at the core of Burdenrest. Most of the songs deal with his personal struggles with sin, and calling out to Christ to save him...hence the name Burdenrest.
