Rarely serious rock, with songs about 20 foot tall women, love ballads for the insane, and hippy sarcasm. Sounds and stories scream, dip, daydream, and tear holes in sunbeams while looking for just the right feeling in each and every song.
Matt Cox heads up the insect rock with 15 years of songwriting in 10 different bands. Having grown up on late 80's punk and hardcore, the songs always have a hint of dissonance. Matt has an experienced soft spot for glaring hooks with harmonies, and no shortgage of pretty measures with strings and softer vocals.
The blend of genres comes from bands like Foo Fighters, Sonic Youth, Husker Du, and The Replacements. Older influences for sure, but music was a lot less carbon copy back then.
