Brutus- Critically Acclaimed Monotony
Since the release of Brutus' revered debrut album 'Slachtbeest' the band has toured Europe twice with bands like Macabre, Cephalic Carnage and Mortal Decay. Furthermore several national and international stages have been shred with the likes of Morbid Angel, Nile, Vader, Suffocation, Regurgitate, Gorerotted and Krisiun.
The twisted combination of rigid ultra low tight melodies and devastating double bass plows and blastinfernos has wrecked many a speaker and witnesses of live punishments have been blown away by the intense and volatile shows. Brutus have claimed their spot in the guild of brutality...
but it has only just begun.

We have been wallowing in depression, feeding on it. It has granted us the arm with which we will force upon you our iron will.
'Murwgebeukt' is the venture into a living psychosis of the Hopeless,Diseased and Delusional. An entintity forced into mortal existence. A man that should have remained Death... 'He who suffers despondency is not a man.'
Lyrically, this album goes a lot further than its predecessor, taking the reader/listener through every stage of the overthrow of a tormented mind. Musically the material is a lot more grim and elaborate than what deathmetal has gotten accustomed to over the last few years. The sixteen songs on the album are the result of a three year 'sculpting of a story' and it will baffle and stupify! It goes without saying that "without Ploegbaas this would not have been the album it has become." Murwgebeukt is HIS album and will mark the end of 'the first era of Brutus'.
