Broken Television was started in the summer of 2004 by Jason Kelch, Brandon "BJ" Braisted and Kevin Hyatt. Having three different people with three different musical backgrounds and three different ideas of what a rock band should sound like is how Broken Television has achieved its unique sound. While Kevin is no longer with the band, the concept is still the same. With ear rocking guitar, heart pounding drums and heartfelt vocals, not to mention a wild and moving live show, Broken Television is more than just two guys on stage playing instruments. BJ and Jason have rocked people from small house parties, local Grand Rapids coffee shops and the historic Emerald Theater in Mt. Clemens, Michigan and plan on rocking more people in the years to come.
The music, the vocals and the show are proof that if you are willing to work hard and use your imagination, that anything is possible. And this is only the beginning. Broken Television is a fresh look at what has been lost in rock for a long time, trying something new and not being afraid to commit to it. With energy and time on their side, Broken Television will be around for a long time.
