Brit rockers Brigade release their stunning debut single, 'Magneto' on March 13.

Showcasing their florid and barbed artrock stylings, it immediately defines the
band as something far outside the tired and pedestrian outpourings of many of
their contempories. Filled with a deliciously expansive sound, it straddles the
genres of rock, indie, pop and dark atmos-rock! For such a young band they
certainly have no shortage of creative ideas.

Taken from their forthcoming album 'Lights' (out April 10 on Mighty Atom Records
- Funeral For A Friend, Hondo Maclean, 3 Colours Red etc), it was produced by
Joe Gibb (Funeral For A Friend, Johnny Truant, Million Dead) and Gethin
Woolcock.

The band's 'Made To Wreck' EP (released in Sept 2005) fired them into the
spotlight and (along with shows with Hidden In Plain View, Hundred Reasons,
Fighstar and Biffy Clyro) helped them gain them a rabid and loyal following.

2006's activity looks set to cement the band's position as 'one of the UK's most
important bands' (Kerrang!). The eleven track 'Lights' album is filled with
infectious enthusiasm and sparkling energy. From the gutpunch heaviosity of
'Queenie' to the languid swirling atmosphere of 'The Hits, The Scrapes' it
genuinely takes the listener on an aural journey.

And while Will's brother is Fightstar's Charlie Simpson Brigade are not living
in the shadows of anyone or relying on publicity stunts of name checking at
every opportunity. There is after all, no need to hype good music it speaks
volumes itself.
