So were trying to set up a mobile studio of sorts. Right now it consists of a laptop with Pro Tools and a couple of mics. That should be all we need, aside from lots of imagination. Our live rooms will consist of Super 8 motel rooms, the back of the van, and possibly your living room. We want to start putting out a lot more music these days. I may seem to gripe about the hardships of tour, but there are some wonderful things that do happen and several things I always look forward to seeing every time we go on the road. Its a frightening time of year, Halloween ghouls notwithstanding. Fall is usually the time of year we start to push a new record, which of course means the inevitable thousands of hours spent on the road. Frightening, indeed. After seven or eight years of being more or less on tour, Ive been able to identify and diagnose several tour-related ailments common to band folks who spend the greater part of the year going 70 mph.
