No. 2 :

No. 2 is my second solo release. At my first release i wanted to do everything on my own, so on that one you hear only my
voice and my guitar. By this one i decided it was better to back it up. It was a good choice. No. 2 is recorded and
mixed at Lawnmower Recordings by Rein Busscher. I think it is much better then my first release. But offcourse it ain't
an over produced record. You can hear some little mistakes. But that's a good thing, cause music is a free form of art.
I think it's better to keep it real and pure than to lett the computer fix everything.

The songs are written in the first months of '10, except for Everybody Is Looking For & Why Don't We.
In July we recorded my guitar and vocals in a day or two.
And because of the schedule's and other things we got to do it takes a few months to record the back up's.
The persons besides Rein who helped me out are : Maurits Stoltenbarg, he plays guitar
on the tracks My Heart Is Yours, I Wish You Where Here and It Ain't Easy. He is together with Rein in the band
Sailor's Grave, formerly 5 Shots's O Wiskey. Michel Hartman plays guitar on Rise & Fall and on Why Don't We.
He is also a member of the Red Blacks, a side project band we're in. And he plays bass in Maggie's Bookshop.
Roel Penterman plays guitar on Everybody Is looking For. Roel and I spend much time together
in our first and our roots hardcore punk band Sharp End. Now he's busy with the band Gentleman's Art. And last but
not least : Denise Boin, the love of my life, and she does backing vocals on the tracks : My Heart Is Yours, I Wish You
Where Here and Everybody Is Looking For.

The Songs :

My Heart Is Yours and I Wish You Where Here are about missing my love. I used to live alone, like 80 miles away from her.
And i really missed her. But time changes. She got pregnant. And we got to make some changes in our life's. So i left
the place i was living and we found ourselves a home. Close to her hometown. Before the end of this year she is my wife
and in Januari we are going to be parents. I love it!

It Ain't Easy when it ain't easy. Yea.. In this songs i sing about lot's of things that are no fun at all. But i/you/we
got to carry on and move on and make the best of it!

Everybody Is Looking For is in the sort of same theme. Everybody needs a purpose in life. I'm glad i find my purpose of
life. I got to work on a lot of things, but i'm on my way. To all those who don't know what to do, try to find peace and
spread freedom and wisdom. Set your goals!

Rise & fall is also in the same theme. We rise and we fall. Be happy with what you have / are, make the best of it,
stay true and rise back up!

Why Don't We is a song from my side project band the Red Blacks. I thought about recording one of the hardcore punkrock
songs and make it acoustic, and i like it! The song is about why don't we stop these wars and why don't we live in peace?
I don't know. Call me an idiot but i will always hope that there come's a day and there would be no more wars. World
peace is something we could realize.. Why don't we? At the moment the Red Blacks are on non active, in the future when
we got time i hope we are going on with recording some demo's. So now i'm talking about one of my band's, I want to
say something about the other 2 aswell. Sharp End is also on non active. It's more that we quit. We don't know for how long..
It's an open road! Since a year i'm in a new hardcore band called Crawfish and we are on the point to realese our
first cd. Go check out my bands if you want. Back to acoustic :

I Don't Care is about that i don't care what you think of my songs. Offcourse i hope you like it but if not, it's ok!
Just like the other music i make, i do this for myself! But offcourse i hope you like it!

The Intro and Outro i record was cause i was playing it and i thought.. i like this! Actually i don't want to call it an Intro
and an Outro but i was thinking of really stupid names, so i just give at the title's intro/outro.

The extra, track 10,
are 2 songs i recorded in 2009 with my video-camera and there a part of the home & alone recording sessions 2009.
First i want to put everything, 8 songs, of the home and alone recordings sessions 2009 as an extra on this record.
But that's to much. So i choose 2 songs :
Everybody Is Looking For, here i'm playing that song alone. And the second track is
I Won't Consume and that song is about (not) eating meat. I'm proud to be a vegetarian.
