Members: Julie Michelle, Jaysson Black, Tim Cravens and Suzanne DeWitt
Julie Michelle first met Jaysson Black when he requested that her band open for his so that he would have an excuse to ask her out on a date. Fortunately for Jaysson, repeated viewings of the entire John Hughes film library caused Julie to be very flattered by his stalker-like maneuver, and she said yes. Pretty soon Julie began lending her lyrics to some of Jaysson's music. The combination of the two worked out so well that they decided to form their own band. They named themselves Blonde Teenage Pop Star, taking inspiration from a magnet adorning their refrigerator that read "Please God, no more blonde teenage pop stars!" The band is rounded out by Tim Cravens on guitar and Suzanne DeWitt (aka Bad Kitty) on the drums.
