In the fall of 2004, Blind Pilot was officially formed by guitarist Corey, bassist Andy and drummer Patrick after playing a few jam sessions and practicing at Andy's house. Andy and Corey played in bands together for 3 years before forming BP+, including High Rizk Maneuver and Of Stone, in which Patrick was the second drummer. These projects never progressed past the garage stage and they eventually split up. Andy and Corey continued meeting and playing guitar, writing music and lyrics everyday after school. They decided to bring Patrick on as a drummer in order to form a complete 3-peice rock band. The chemistry between the members, partly because all three were in the marching band and had been friends for a few years, allowed them to quickly write good songs. They have been working non-stop since forming to perfect their unique blend of rock, blues, pop, punk, and ska. BP+ has already started playing shows around the area and hope to continue to spread their music in North Carolina and the East Coast.
