Blinded Nights Tragedy is a melodic hardcore band hailing from the deep south of Valdosta, Ga. The band first began in early September of 2004 when all the members met in college. Starting out as just a group of friends, Harrison Frye, Kyle Echols, Jason Knoll, Josh Flores, and Cody Harris, who all loved music and just wanted people to jam with so as to maintain chops and have a creative outlet in life. As the sounds of Harrison's very melodic and tight guitar work, Jason's ever amazing ability to texture and color music by means of his guitar skills, Josh's driving and in the pocket bass lines, Kyle's steady handed time keeping and brutal sense of metal, and Cody's vocal styles lead the members to believe in their band and decide to attempt to share their idea's and feelings with the world. As the band continued to write music and play local gigs, vocalist Cody was removed from the band for personal reasons as new vocalist and dear friend Josh "phatty" Smith stepped up to fill the spot. At this time Blinded Nights tragedy began to make a strong name for themselves in valdosta and in south georgia. After more and more gigs and a recording of a short 3 song demo Josh Smith decided he was done and left to pursue other musical and business ventures. The band was now well equiped with a solid south eastern fanbase and inevitably decided it was too good to give up and began searching for a new vocalist. Ritch Caraway, a guy with an honestly God given talent for what BNT was looking for, was discovered as the band was spending some time in Fayetteville, Ga. Climbing aboard now as the full time front man of BNT Ritch dazzled old and new fans at his first shows. Heading into the summer of 2005 BNT recorded a 5 song EP with a friend in Atlanta, Ga. Shortly after its release the band took flight on a 2 month long self funded tour of the southeastern states. Playing many dates in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennesee, South Carolina, and finishing again in Georgia with nothing but good memories, new fans, and a love for tour life. Hooking up with the newly established promotion company "Death's Head Records" (not a label), BNT has plans to continue to refine their own unique style of hardcore, with brutal break downs, nice melodic guitar work, and a voice of passionate lyrics that appeal to today's youth and inspires freedom from everyday mediocrity. Be on the look out for another full southeastern tour from BNT in December and January of 2005/2006 and a New professionally recorded EP or possibly a debut full length in late Spring of 2006. Blinded Nights Tragedy has no plans of stopping anytime soon. With a live show that dazzles and pails in comparison to the likes of Norma Jean and the Chariot's stage presence taken up a notch to the Musical sounds of Bands such as Bleeding Through, and Summers End in technicallity and catchy-ness. They are a force that is coming and coming strong in today's Hardcore music scene
