Blastoma, (ex-members of Mugshot Militia), has been flying just under the radar for nearly a decade in the Northeast. Hailing from Connecticut, the bands members take influence from the massive metal-epicenter known to come out of the north-east corner of the states, and it shows in their music. At the same time, the band joins sounds of a more traditional metal and hard rock sound, fused with the new school brutality of today's metal bands.

In the band's debut, self-titled album; themes of struggle and anger run strong, although by the album's end, the title track (as well as the album's opener, "Gift") resolve and show a growth through their decade in the scene learning the ropes, not only musically honing their craft as excellent musicians, but in life and general outlook as well.

Blastoma is a band fighters will want to train to, angry ex-girlfriends will want to listen to, as well as the new wave of metal & hard rock fans who are craving something unapologetic in its delivery, technical yet simple in its brutality; and in Blastoma, they've found a new home.

As spoken best by lead singer Darren Galpin, "I am, you are, we all are; Blastoma!", just as one of the most furious pits unleashes before your eyes. Take heed, brutality has a new name.
