Blameshift has spent the past 2 years touring relentlessly through the US and Canada, including 8 national tours and 6 dates on the Vans Warped Tour. The band has been back in their home town (Long Island, NY) since December, writing the sound track to their future. They plan on releasing some amazing new material just as they head off on the road again later this summer!

Blameshift released their first national record, The Test, May 1, 2007 with support through F.Y.E.& Hot Topic stores. Produced by Michael Birnbaum and Chris Bittner (Coheed & Cambria, Straylight Run, The Sleeping), Blameshift had a refreshing sound quickly started getting the recognition it deserved. Alternative Press Magazine named Blameshift, (unsigned band of the month) in July 2007. Within a month of releasing the record, Blameshift left it all behind and committed to non-stop touring from coast to coast. Their already established nation wide street team nearly tripled in size, creating the grass-roots fan base that will ensure the bands longevity. Blameshift won the Feed the Beat contest held by Taco Bell in the fall of 2007. Out of thousands of bands, Blameshift was selected for receiving free Taco Bell on the road. They were also chosen as the top 3 bands to be featured on Taco Bells spring 09 campaign. Check our www.feedthebeat.com which is expected to get 2.9 million hits and will be promoted on all their sauce packets and cups. Other sponsors such as AMP Energy Drink, Sullen Clothing, Draven Shoes, PRS Guitars, Bogner Amps, GHS Strings, Paiste Cymbals and Shine Drums soon followed their launch nation wide. Expect big things from the band in the summer of 2009!
