BIOGRAPHY

Blackout is an explosive force in the Midwest music scene. By playing packed venues supporting national acts, Blackout has matured into one of the most respected bands coming out of Chicago. As they continue to tour, they gain close friendships with many loyal fans that pour their heart and soul into the music as much as the band does.

"We are the hardest working band in Chicago", states drummer, Rick Lorek. Through independent promotion, touring, and self management, Blackout has been paying their dues to Chicago's music scene for the past three years. Their high-energy live shows and excellent song writing have been creating quite a buzz in Chicago and around the entire country.

Lead singer Adam Newcomer's strong melodies and intoxicating stage presence are always able to provoke an emotional response from the audience, while being delivered with the tight driving rhythm and powerhouse drumming style of Rick Lorek.

Guitarist Chris Zwart manipulates the melodies of eroticism, playing screaming leads, and hard rock rhythms. Keyboardist Chris Orebaugh adds ambience and attitude with a mix of synths, samples, and sound effects. Finally, this is all backed by ground shaking bass lines played by Ian Roberts.
