Black Flag Is one of the most respected & biggest 1980 American punk/hardcore band,in their times,they were a huge underground band but sadly,their highest audience count in their whole carrer was 2000.Not only was this the start of Henry Rollins,but they have been an influence for many modern bands & has been covered more than The Misfits.This is their legacy.

>Influences inclued Pantera & Kurt Corbain of Nirvana,who sold his whole record collection just to see Black Flag
>Another big influence is Chigago-punk band Rise Against,who has done 2 covers, one for the movie Lords Of Dogtown(Nervous Breakdown) And another for the video game Tony Hawk's American Wasteland(Fix Me)
>Not only were they known through band covers & influences,but they has songs put in video games,one in Tony Hawk 2 & another in Tony Hawk's American Wasteland(Rise Above)
>The song "TV Party" appeared on the Futurama episode "Bender Should Not Be Allowed On TV"
>The song"Drinking & Driving" appeared on the Jackass Movie.Henry Rollins was also a special guest
>Infact,they have Black Flag T-shirts in toddler-size
Just like Van Gogh,they never got popular in their times,not to mention countless member changes,fights with the police & record labels,poverty & like some bands,making poor music & drifting away until forgotten.But now they are a band that people who got more popular than them still look up too.
Henry Rollins sang for Damaged and beyond.The First Four Years are a collection of old EPs that inclued Chuck Morris(he was the 1st vocalist who left to start the Circle Jerks,he sang Nervous Dreakdown),Chavo Pedarst(who only made the EP Jealous Again before leaving in the middle of a show saying "Im sick of this shit".) and Dez Cadena(he was more popular than Henry,but his voice burned out due to drugs & was put down as 2nd guitarist.He sang Louie Louie).

alrigth alright first off this wasn\'t Henry Rollins
first band it was his second before flag he was in SOA
which is a pretty decent band and second of all its not
fuckin chuck morris of the circle jerks its fuckin
keith morris one of the most intellectual alcaholics of
all time and way radder than rollins and Dez just
didn\'t want to do vocals anymore he wanted to play
guitar wasn\'t nessissairly drug related....so get your
shit straight before you make a page fuck.
