Black Flag Is one of the most respected & biggest 1980 American punk/hardcore band,in their times,they were a huge underground band but sadly,their highest audience count in their whole carrer was 2000.Not only was this the start of Henry Rollins,but they have been an influence for many modern bands & has been covered more than The Misfits.This is their legacy.

Just like Van Gogh,they never got popular in their times,not to mention countless member changes,fights with the police & record labels,poverty & like some bands,making poor music & drifting away until forgotten.But now they are a band that people who got more popular than them still look up too.

Henry Rollins sang for Damaged and beyond.The First Four Years are a collection of old EPs that inclued Chuck Morris(he was the 1st vocalist who left to start the Circle Jerks,he sang Nervous Dreakdown),Chavo Pedarst(who only made the EP Jealous Again before leaving in the middle of a show saying "Im sick of this shit".) and Dez Cadena(he was more popular than Henry,but his voice burned out due to drugs & was put down as 2nd guitarist.He sang Louie Louie).
