Blackfire was birthed from the DEPTHS OF HELL after the demise of its previous form; Alchemy. It's founding members, Mariella and Tom, lost both their bassist and singer on the same day. They were left with little option but to call Tom's two good friends on that very same day - Trevor and George. That first practice, graced by a cover of "Black Label" by Lamb of God and reminiscing of a new shared vision for music would mark the day this band finally began.

Since its beginning in August 2004, Blackfire has been undergoing massive changes in sound. Dillon was brought in as a second guitarist and is furthering band's evolution. Blackfire stands today, a violent, intricate harmony of black and death metal lightly touched by melody and seared by thrash.
