16 years and still kicking!! Bigger Thomas continues to keep crowds moving and grooving to their patented version of reggae skalypsoul with a heavy dose of traditional and 2-Tone ska thrown in for good measure. Best known for their upbeat ska-pop song "Ska in My Pocket" they now play a diverse style encompassing ska, reggae, calypso, punk, african and latin rythyms. They have had the pleasure of performing alongside side such great acts as Jimmy Cliff, Yellowman, Burning Spear, Bad Manners, The Selecter, Special Beat, De La Soul, Bim Skala Bim and The Toasters. Their current effort, "Resisting Success" was released in May 2004. The band will be reissuing its first self-titled, out-of-print LP in early 2005 as part of a CD/DVD package and is currently recording a follow-up to "Resisting Success" at the Version City Studio with the legendary King Django. Look for the band to play shows throughout the US and Canada in 2005 and to tour as part of the SKA TRIPTYCH with Hub City Stompers, The Rudie Crew and other premiere East Coast ska and reggae acts.
