Big City Lights is pop-rock band hailing from Long Island, NY. After departing from the nationally-known Permanent Me, Justin Morrell formed Big City Lights in the spring of 2007. At the time, everyone was currently active in the Long Island music scene, but easily dropped everything to be playing music together again. Composing of Justin Morrell as lead vocals and guitar, Adam Friedberg on lead guitar and back up vocals and Adam Tepfer on bass the members were now set on a journey to find the 4th missing piece to the puzzle. After 2 years of rocky roads and minor lineup changes Vinny Nuzzi was found and an instant connection was made between the 4 now forming the rock steady Big City Lights. B.C.L developed a sound that is sure to be stuck in your head. Deriving from the likes of The Fray/OneRepublic mixed with the pop elements they grew up listening to, there is clearly a strong formula to the way these four write a song. The music of Big City Lights is fueled by driving verses mixed with memorable choruses incorporating elements from all types of music, culminating into an array of melodic tones and heart-filled melodies.

After conquering the Long Island scene, Big City Lights is ready to take their music to the masses. Fresh out of the studio with producer Josh Silverberg, of Edison Glass fame, they are currently hard at work on their debut E.P. With a 3-song sampler currently posted on their myspace, as well as an AbsolutExclusive on absolutepunk.net, the boys have been getting tons of attention. What makes them so different is that each song tells a story in its own way with each song sounding different from the last, but remaining true to their sound. The opening track "Wrecking Ball" is an up-beat pop song with very moving verses followed by a catchy sing-along chorus with an epic bridge to close out the song. "Turn the Knife" is where Big City Lights gets their chance to shine. Going in a more "jammed out" style heavily driven by the bass and drums, and coated with an attitude-esque vocal styling by Justin Morrell, "Turn The Knife" is a perfect showcase of the individual talents of each member in the band. "Catastrophe" is BCL's turn to show their more melodic side, combining dueling guitar leads, piano, and emotion-filled lyrics.

With the current cookie-cutter mold that is todays music scene, Big City Lights is sure to break out and prove themselves to the world.
