belsapadore is a mostly studio and sometimes live project that involves justin hoenke (also from the band zomo) and any musician around him.

belsapadore began in 2003, when zomo decided to go on hiatus. justin hoenke then cooped himself in his home studio and compiled 2004's "the sun and the moon" which featured tracks recorded by hoenke himself from 2003-2004 and serves as the first chapter in a trilogy of "books" recorded by the band. the eleven song album was recorded in pennsylvania and washington state and features such tracks as "the sun and the moon" and "egg".

the album "the sun and the moon" went through various changes from 2004 to 2006. at its earliest point of existance, it was split up between two albums. the first album was titled "the sun and the moon". however, the only similarities between the final product and this version of the album was in the title and its title track. the rest of the album was made up of various recordings made by justin througout 2003-2004 and had a more sing along pop feel to it. the second album was titled "egg" and it contained much of the work that is featured on the final version of "the sun and the moon".

after these two albums were scrapped, an eight song album was put together by justin that featured what he considered to be "the greatest hits of both sun and the moon and egg." this was known as "an introduction in two parts."

the final version of "the sun and the moon" was assembled in august 2006 by justin hoenke as the definitive version of belsapadore's first album. it contains tracks from earlier versions of the album along with newly edited music that originated during these sessions.

in early 2005, hoenke then returned to pennsylvania and met up with his old friend aaron dobler. the two quickly started recording hoenke's newest batch of songs. the end product of 3 months of recording is the EP "a more colorful or easier somewhere else..." which serves as the second chapter of the "books" trilogy. the EP was finished in the summer of 2005. you can find a link below where you can download the complete EP.

in 2006, belsapadore planned to record their third album, titled "the whale."

it was never meant to be. aaron dobler moved away in mid-2006, and the album was put on hold.

to tide fans over, in december 2006 belsapadore released the album "b-sides", which features 2 completed tracks from "the whale" and 10 previously unreleased studio tracks and demos. in the meantime, justin began recording the fourth belsapadore album.

April 1st, 2007 will see the release of that fourth belsapadore album. titled "everyone c'mon get happy", the album was finished in early 2007 and will be released sometime later this year. along with this album, the other three belsapadore albums will be avaliable for order once again in 2007.
