It is around a deep, provocative, and melodious sound that Bellevil was born in Quebec city during the month of December 2008. Bellevil is: Marc; singing and playing piano, Simon; playing bass guitar, Stephane; playing guitar, Pierre-Luc playing; guitar and keyboards, and Didier; drumming. They are five dedicated members that have been living for music since their youth and that just could not stay away from it for too long. Genuine and without any pretention, Bellevil offers the duality of a raw rock sound and of an electronic ambient rhythm. The band relies on realistic texts, the impact of their voice and their contagious passion for the stage to reach their public. They have only one wish: that Bellevil reveals itself to you as a unique experience that propels you into a tripping and exciting atmosphere that you will not want to leave.

We are five guys that were born to play music and that have been doing so for many years now. Our musical journeys and experiences are various; however, this is what allows us to step out of the beaten path and create a sound that fully represents who we are. When we think about it, Bellevil is proof that pooling in different elements can sometimes turn out surprisingly well… We are active in the Capital’s scene not only as musicians, but also as fans and friends of independent artists and bands both from here and elsewhere. Those artists all influenced us in their own way, but if we had to precisely identify the bands that inspired Bellevil’s first few songs, we would have to name: Coldplay, The Killers, Death Cab for Cutie, U2, Karkwa, and Keane.
