Bekah Glad is 22 years old, currently living in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She has been singing since the age of 5 and feels called to the music industry. Her father is a Chaplain in the United States Army, and she has traveled the world her whole life. "It has been an amazing experience moving around the world. I have met many wonderful people and being an army brat has really shaped who I am and has definitely made me constantly come out of my comfort zone." Bekah is currently in her second year of college at Pikes Peak Community College majoring as a dental assistant. However, singing is her heart and passion! "I know that God has given me a gift, and I want to use it to further His Kingdom and be a light, and make an impact in this world. I want to make a difference!" Her CD is scheduled to be released in mid-May or June and will feature 10 songs written by Bekah. "I am completely humbled and amazed at how God is just using this CD and how He keeps blessing me with this project. It's been so neat seeing it all come together and I cannot wait to see the end results. My prayer through this whole project has been one that was prayed daily by Mother Theresa. Dear Lord, help me spread Your fragrance wherever I go. Flood my soul with Your Spirit and Life. Penetrate me, possess my whole being so utterly all my life may only be a RADIANCE of Yours. Shine through me and be so in me that Every soul I come in contact with may FEEL Your presence in my soul. Let them look up and see no longer me, but only You, o Lord! Let me preach You without preaching, not by words, but by my example by the catching Force, the sympathetic influence of what I do, the evident fullness of the Love my heart bears to You. Amen "It is NOT about me, but it is all about Him!" Bekah is also invovled in a ministry called Operation Christmas Child. This is a ministry that sends gift filled shoeboxes to needy children all over the world. Bekah has been invovled with Operation Christmas Child for seven years and wherever her family has been stationed with the Army, she has coordinated getting her church and school invovled in packing shoeboxes for needy children. "Being invovled in this ministry has been a great way to remind me of how extremely blessed I am--I have no room to complain about anything. It amazes me that something as simple as a shoebox can change a life!" In Decemember 2003, Bekah was selected out of hundreds of students to go to Trinidad, South America to distribute shoeboxes with Operation Christmas Child. This was a trip she'd never forget. "It was so neat just seeing God use shoeboxes in such a neat way. Not only did the child receiving feel loved, but they also heard about Christ and what He has done for them. It broke my heart seeing children living in poverty and such awful conditions. The neat thing was, these children didn't complain about a thing--if anything, they were more grateful and had an indescribable joy. I will never forget what happened on that trip and how I was changed. It was life changing!" Bekah has added pictures from her trip to her photo album, so check them out!
