'Behind Lies...' was founded by Sarah, Martin and Richi, former members of the band 'One Last Fairytale'. The idea of playing together in a band with Christoph emerged a long time ago, was often discussed, but for a long time not realized. In autumn 2007 the four got together in Martin's basement to make music. Shortly after, Norbert joined the band and the formation was completed.

With enthusiasm and pleasure we started to compose and soon the first songs were completed. With limited resources and Norbert's 'mixing knowledge', from which we didn't know anything so far, the first song called 'One Last Time' was recorded.

Much more difficult as composing new songs was the finding of a name for the band. After a lot of tries, many failures, a lot of stupid ideas, which I won't name here, we came to an agreement: The name 'Behind Lies...' stands for something very important for us, something which strongly influences our songs and especially our lyrics. We want to scratch on the surface, want to look behind the facade of lies. We want to sing about the things that lie behind. Too often people hide themselves behind masks, to keep secret what they really think and feel. We want to put down this mask, sing about true emotions and thoughts without fooling anybody. We want to look 'Behind Lies...'.
