Denmark, New York City, Creation NW

blog post
Hello again, we are back in Los Angeles after being gone for the last two months. We are back at our home church leading worship, and catching up with friends we have missed. I wanted to catch you up on all that God has shown us this last month and give you all a quick idea of what we were up to!

The month of June was spent up in the Seattle area. We were able to spend time with the Calvary Chapel there on Whidbey Island, meet with a few pastors sharing our vision of unity, and then of course we were at a few family weddings as well! It was really fun!

The first part of July we were in Denmark re-connecting with Healing Waters Ministry, which is now located in Denmark, as well as leading worship at a camp outside of Ahus (about 3000 adults/youth and children). For the most part, the main church of Denmark is Lutheran. It is a "State" church. The Lutheran movement is etched in tradition, but there is a large portion of the church that is spiritually breaking free and waking to the movement of the Holy Spirit. That is what this camp was all about. Learning about ALL that the Lord has for us. His freedom, His truth, His grace and His word. It was amazing!

We were able to worship with them, share our lives, and listen to their hearts. It was unbelievable the amount of breakthrough we saw. We are praying that this heart change sticks and becomes a life change in Denmark!

We were at the section of camp called "Base Camp" most of the time (that is the 15-27 year olds), but our favorite time by far was the morning worship time we got to spend with "Rock Solid" (the Kids 10-14 years old) I'm telling you something... these kids are the next generation of worshippers in Denmark. They see it. They get it. They are not so stuck in the "traditions" that they miss the spirit of the Lord, and they weren't so caught up in the "feelings" of God that they forgot His truth and His word... no THEY GOT IT! All of it. It was amazing. I watched 10-14 year old kids worship God with all their heart. In English too! I actually understood them. (But if you've never heard Danish worship... it's absolutely beautiful. So hard to understand... but SO beautiful!)

Then from Denmark we flew straight to New York and began a week-long outreach there as well. (Although I have to say we were a bit jet-lagged) ;) we slept most of the first day there but were up the next morning ready to go. We ministered with several different homeless ministries, churches, and community outreaches. The last outreach event we did was in Harlem. It was a community wide event where Devon and I led worship in between sets of DJs. There was kids activities like face painting, balloon animals, games, kid shows, etc. Then there were prayer stations for the adults, live music (us :) ), DJs, and some of the best BBQ weve ever had. It was so amazing to see the Lord move throughout that community.

At one point when we were worshipping I looked up at the surrounding "project" buildings and saw these precious older women sitting at their windows listening and leaning out to hear all we were saying. It was so wonderful the Lord will work in SO many different ways.

We flew into LA for one night's sleep and left the next day for Seattle, well actually George, WA (central Washington.) There we were able to be a part of Creation Northwest. It is a huge Christian Festival (approx. 25,000 people.) The radio station in Seattle, Spirit 105.3 invited us up to be a part of their 'acoustic cafe' stage. It was great to connect with the people from the station as well as other worshippers. We met so many new friends and the Lord continued to show us little by little more of His plan and calling on our lives.

We are so humbled at all that God did in the past few months... we could go on and on...
but we won't take any more of your time. :) check out some of the pics we've added...
We had such a great time. Thanks to all of you for your support, prayers and encouragement! You're the best! love you. becki
