On to Iowa...
blog post
Dev and I just spent a week in Iowa! Dev's cousin Charity got married, thus our main reason for this travel, but we also had the opportunity to share some music with Center Street Baptist Church in Marshaltown, IA on a Sunday morning. God is good and keeps opening doors through friends and family.
The wedding was beautiful...Congrats to Charity and Caleb! After that, it was pretty much a life lesson in farming, life on a farm, farm animals, farm fishing, farm cats, farm machinery and farm families. It was awesome. I posted some pictures for you all to look at. We also went and visited Dev's uncle Duane's work. He is a director at a state run home for troubled girls ages 14-18 in IA. These young ladies have been through what most of can't even stomach even talking about. We had the opportunity to go and play some games with them, share a little about ourselves and even sing a worship song with them. Please pray for these young women in IA who need love, true love from Jesus. Also pray for the staff who walk with these girls daily.
Many thanks to Josh and Erica who let us crash at their place and to Dev's aunt and uncle who so generously let us into their lives and family for a week.
